I have taken some pictures of fishes during bench-in. (Sorry for the lousy pictures as I am using a borrowed camera). The judging has not been done so there is no ranking yet. Only some "interesting fishes" taken at the moment. But in random arrangement.
I hope that there will be more pictures posted soon. 2 friends posing with the official sign board.. Handsome hor? The largest ryukin in the show. The hand there can be misleading. It looked smaller because it was at the other side of the tank. Do you find anything wrong with this picture? Ryukin ryukin ryukin... ORANDA?!?!? Next time better check before you leave the place!!! Don't end up like this clown... Straight disqualification. Why waste money? |

Quite difficult to find a good piece of purple (brown) ranchu. This piece looks like it's got a great deal of potential Familiar fish.... Heh heh... |

I must say that the quality of entries this year is better than in 2005.
The ryukin category is very impressive, and I think the Grand Champ may once again hail from the ryukin cat; as in 2003 and 2005. We'll know the results in 24 hrs............. |

Agree. Ryukin is a very "colourful" category, with many entries.
Some more... Ugly as it may be, this is the a very very rare goldfish. This is the most majestic fish in this compeition... but submitted under "OTHERS" category Special colour ryukin.. brown coloured body with "red window" on head... also submitted under "OTHERS" |

Arguably this humongous piece may clinch Aquarama 2007 grand champion for goldfish

Indeed, the most majestic fish is the butterfly ryukin in the Open category. In fact I will be surprise if it dun clinch any prize. Even in the ryukin cat, it will take on the challenge of any other ryukins. I guess the ryukin cat participants are very lucky to see it in Open. I believe this year, the result will be very interesting and most probably not wat you will expected. Grand Champ is a ryukin but it is from the Open .... hahahahahaha. Lets see if it can create history.
Anyway, in the Oranda, there are several good entries. One from the Thai NK Farm is abosolutely solid. Both lack the vibrant coloration and majestic look of the Butt Ryukin. Actually I am slightly disappointed in the ranchu cat. Anyway lets wait till tomorrow afternoon to get the result. Oh, participants are not allowed to enter the hall tomorrow, the competition area will be closed for judging. Only Officials pass holder can enter. Partition has been erected after you guys left the hall. Oh, this year I see Dragon Fish has many impressive fish. And the Aquascaping section put in a real nice and creative display. Some of the participants work till 10pm just to get the tank up and running. Lots of effort put in ! Bravo. Ok time to get some rest ... still got to be at the hall early .... |

Thank you very much for the pics. So many nice fish - would be hard to choose. Maybe the second red/white ryukin in desireless' photos. What is that fish after the comet? Sort of a wakin, but not exactly. Very unusual.
