Is a long tailed goldfish a type of fancy goldfish??? Or is it the common one? One more thing, Is it suitable for ponds? Oh...and info on the size it would grow to would be appreciated....thanks

No such thing as common or fanciful. All goldfish bred today are consider fanciful. The only common goldfish by name is the Common Goldfish, which looks pretty close to a chinese carp, ji yu. not koi hor.
