Got. Got difference.

Well, you cannot keep a fish inside your canister filter - it's too dark inside, and later the eyes become really really small. Not nice leow. hmm.gif

Sump filter good ah; can use as hospital tank.

Wah piang ... the fish sick liao go hospital and isolate from the rest of the community. Then if u put into the sump tank, what's the diff of mixing it back to the community leh ?

If a SARS patient isolated in another room next door but sharing same toilet, will you feel good or not ?

I came over from the ChitChat forum and was still in my talk cock mode when I wrote that. Ignore them; they're jokes!

Seriously now. Talking about hospital/QT tank, there's something I'm not sure. Suppose I bought 2 new fishes from the same tub in QH. Is it okay to QT them in one tub?

I don't really know if there is any implication, but I does that too. yes.gif Usually just add a drop of M. Blue into the tub to treat the same batch from the same tank/tub.

on this topic of sump tank, i just return from polyart and they are selling the I-Box for a cool $140. in case ppl don't know, it is an overflow box to add on to current tank. thus no need to drill hole.

I don't know what's an I-Box (is Apple Computer into aquarium products now? Woo hoo!) but if you want you can DIY an overflow setup without drilling holes for only a few dollars.
