can you get a better picture on the tail of the thai ranchu please peace.gif, and if that's how he holds the tail, with the bent usually I don't think it'll be a very good future specimen since a ranchus tail is very important IMO

The chinese ranchu needs a straighter back IMO

too bad i don't focus on ranchus as much as I do dragons

Friend,

Dont you think the current created by the submerged pump (looks Eheim to me)is too strong liao. ohmy.gif Like washing machine ah!

The turbulence created from the box filter shd be sufficient IMO. rolleyes.gif

Hhahahahaa

To me the surface break made by mixing air and water at the surface create excellent aeration.Apart from this I still have 2 airline from my Hi Blow to allow further aeration. This somehow make the fish more lively and increase their appetite(Maybe more dissolved oxygen leh)

it is eheim alright(my most trusted brand)

Goldrush,

You can be charged under ISA for instigating these type of Thai vs Chinese racial sentiments.Detention without trial. biggrin.gif

Anyway here are my predictions on the winning traits whereby Matrix will definately disagree with me:
The Thai will win in body shape, headgrowth, scalation, profile of back.
The Chinese will win in eventual size.
Colouration category will tied.

Winner is Thai, by a unanimous decision.Update us in 3 months.

Off topic but I believe that temperature is the controllong factor with regards to dissolved oxygen (DO).That means by increasing aeration will not increase DO unless water or room temperature is lowered.

So I suggest maybe turn on the air-conditioner in your fish room for 24hrs if you want to maximise DO rofl2.gif
