Spend 2 hours in Qian Hu. Search every tub and tank for nice side view and finally bought him home.

Although Qian Hu has 20% on all goldfish for CNY, but I think the price is still expensive. I regret I didn't buy the thai ranchu during my last visit which is a lot cheaper and better feature than this one.

I choose him cos of its head growth and pui pui shape. It's around 5 inches including tail.

I've 6 ranchus now and this is the one which has the most head growth and best pui pui shape I like. And also the most expensive one.

Please give your comments.

Er.....

You didn't say if you want to frank comments, suck-up comments, or the pics are just for viewing only?

So everyone will assume it's for viewing pleasure only and keeping their mouth shut. sad.gif

How ah?

u put the words right into my mouth man...
yes " That " look, i ususlly must "connect to the fish" b4 i buy.
even with nice features, the fish look sian sian and eyes no fire, will not buy also.

bro sheringam,
i know the a/m did not help much. experts here gave me these advices when looking for side view fish:

Egg shape body, proportional head to body ratio, tail 45 degree to body, fins, tails and scale no defects. (i can live with abit of scale, tails defect though), big chumky buffalo cheeks, must swim properly in tank, no apparent illness.

which one meet the a/m criteria? i take the liberty to use this piece as a example which i tot meet the a/m. however it does has a scale missing. but i stand corrected also on this piece.

coming back
overall ok for a normal thai grade ranchu. it really depend on how much u pay for it.

whtan1... I agree the head grow is pretty nice. I do have the intention of buying them but their back development is really not up to my standard. So I pour them back into the tug again.
Today! QH no good fish lah.
Come to think of it . buy a fish that I don't like home is waste of my time, space and money. ohmy.gif

I can live with a bit of scale defect, slight anal fin and tail defect. It has feature I like but I have overlooked on the minor defects. If you compare with those in main glass tanks having major defects and costing twice or more, you'll find this a good buy.

I can hardly find good or nice goldfish today. Price also quite steep after discount. The goldfish quality I've seen today can't fight with those few weeks ago. Good and nice goldfish might be snapped up for CNY. Let's hope they bring in new stocks of goldfish soon.

Agree on
pay peanuts, u get peanuts
pay cashew nuts, u get cashew nuts
but it might be in the other way round

How much do you think it's worth for a normal 5 inches (including tail) thai grade ranchu?
