How To Bring Ranchus Bank From Bangkok Options

Hi all,

I plan to visit chatuchak in Bangkok and hope to bring back some nice ranchus back to singapore. Is it possible to hand carrry these on board the plane? And will I need to get some export documentation prepared and if so, would the shops in chatuchak be able to help?

U need to do paperworks at the Air cargo area at(area 5 n 6),3rd floor,Live animals quarantine room,fill in the form,then get the permit to export the fish(can be fined up to 40,000baht for not having permit).. Photocopy ur Passport n air ticket,there is a copier machine downstairs.. U DUN HAVE TO BRING THE FISHES THERE,ITS ONLY PAPER WORK,just declare how many fishes u planning to take.. THE DEPT is not open on SAT n Sun..

On the day of departure must put the fishes into "STYROFORM BOX"(price is 150 baht per kg),check-in with your lagguages,dun tink can hand carry on plane...

I've only been to Bangkok once and I'm not familiar with the layout of the airport but I recall although they have two teminals, unlike changi airport, they are actually in the same building. Please tell me is the "air cargo area at (area 5 n 6), 3rd floor, Live animals quarantine room" is in which terminal? Thanx.
