hi, I just bought an Oranda and I'm not too sure on how much to feed. It seems to be eating as much as I give. I give about five pellets 3 times a day. Is it too little? But it has such a FAT stomach, I'm quite afraid it'd burst.
Secondly, I'm not sure when I should change the water. I still don't know how to get green water. I did put water under the light for a few hours everyday but it did not turn green. Currently, the method I use is to change the water every three or four days. I would only change half of the water. And the water that I put in has been kept overnight. Also, I'm not sure of when to clean the whole tank. Like once a month? I know that goldfishes are quite intolerant of ammonia. PS. How come there are only "bros" here, why no sisters? I'm a girl but I still like goldfishes and I hope that next time I can rear more fishes. I think they are soooo cute!!! so chubby and fat! |

Suggest you spend some time reading up the old threads and most of the answers to your questions will be found. Enjoy your new hobby! |
