The result .... in term of Country of origin of the fish
Ranchu - Thai, China, China Pearl - Singapore, Singapore, Singapore Oranda - Thai, China, Thai Dragon - China, China, China Ryukin - China, China, China Open - China, China, China I stood proud to see Singapore bred fish taking the stand. A dream finally came true. China fish still a dominating force when comes to goldfish. Those in blue are coming from 1 particular source. Got money, got fish. Let's see from the color of the fish ... Ranchu - RW, Bk, RW Pearl - RB, RB, RB Oranda - RB, Bk, RB Dragon - RW, Bk, RB Ryukin - RW, RW, Ca 5 RW, 6 RB, 3 Bk and 1 Ca. Black fish never fail to take 2nd spot. But always fail to take top spot. Oh well, like I said before, size is not the final factor. Big fish might not win. |

QUOTE(yamato38gunkei @ Sun, 29 May 2005 7:59 pm) I know that many will not be happy with the following remark : "if hobbyists can not win any awards at big Shows, it is because they do not try hard enough ! Do not complain, ACT !!!!! Regards, Geert Coppens Well said. I tried, and tried and tried. Each time there are a lot of things to learn, to understand and to acknowledge. In such a show, it is always cruel. 266 fishes, 17 winners and a grand chamipion. Every 14 fishes, 1 winner. If u really go thru the class, 70 ranchu, 3 winners. A ratio of 1 winner in 23 fishes. It's over now, 2007 May 24th is still a distant away. Not too soon to prepare for it, not too far to ignore it. I hope to see the same people or even more throwing in the challenge to the big lfs and high end foreign players. Not forgetting to continue making new friends and bonding with the local hobbyists. |
