Public Entrance Fee

Judging: 6-Feb-04 (Friday) 9 am to 12 noon

Prize Presentation: 8-Feb-04 (Sunday) 2 pm

I went to QH shortly after ten this morning and left after the price presentation ceremony. Best time spent at QianHu!!

I met a few guys. Seah of AC was there drolling with me over some of the goldfish. Ah Huat of HOR was there too proudly telling me the selling price of their shop's price winning ranchu. (Heh heh, you don't want to know how much.)

I'm quite confused over why the 1st price winner of the ranchu pair category are any big deal? They look like those I bought from Wee Yap with the distinct headgrowth pattern but the tail joints are set too low. So I asked around and frankly no one could tell me why they're good. "Often it all depends on the judges own preferences, that's why QH invited judges from different countries for a more diverse opinion." Oh well, the judges' opinion definitely don't match mine and those I asked. Too bad for me. I wonder how much C354 is asking for this pair now?

I hope QianHu will make this an annual event!
