The culture here is serious goldfish keeping punctuated with the occassional humour now and then......closest I can think of is Ken Lim(Singapore Idols) . Appreciate the learning experience just passively reading through neatly arranged and well defined categories of goldfish materials that keep me going back to read many times over and still gain more insights.

Let me share some insights about danger and safety. In Singapore I can allow my kids to go down to the store let say Seven Eleven or NTUC anytime of the night...in most Western Countries it is not safe even for adults to walk on the road as evening falls....say after 7.00 or 8.00pm. I know bcos I have lived in Vancouver and have lost my kid once just for a few minutes in the mall and I really "SHAKE". "What so democratic and free are you Western nations when you don't even have the freedom and safety to walk your streets as night falls....roughly that was what MM Lee rebutted to the foreign press when questioned about democracy and freedom in Singapore.

I am just one small member of RG and in a moment like this...I want to be counted. Appreciate and thanks for a great site.
