A moderator is one whose performance is just moderate.
If he goes beyond for an overkill, he is known as a accelerator If he goes under, he is retarded… Who wants to moderate? |

Firstly I requested to be taken out of Petsfanatics more than a year ago. I do not wish to disclose the reason but some people here knows why. I do not wish to show the ugly side of some people. There is always 2 sides to a coin isn't it? 1. You have not given me your investigation report that we talk about on the 17th April 2006. 2. How is "LAMPARD" related to any of your moderator? 3. How have I offended RG as claimed by you? I am not interested in knowing the story of how you've gotten yourself into their "Banned Users" list, but with your experience as an Ex-moderator there, you should know for better, the answers to your previous questions. (On a sidenote, most forums have 2 sets of inactive user lists: "Unregistered Users" and "Banned Users". For RG, when someone requests to be taken out, he will be dropped into the Guest list as "Unregistered Users" , like this. I have always THOUGHT that PF has a similar system.) 1) & 2) Due to the confidentiality of information given to us by our service provider, I am not able to reveal the details to the result of investigation. This is the best that I can show you. It was NOT the moderator whom you were suspecting. In addition to that point, given how we (including you) understand him, it is unlikely of him to come in under a sub account to say his piece. Meaning to say, if it was him, he would have used his true ID instead. You should know this well enough, shouldn't you? I have to show that report above because I want all members to be aware that: - we view violation to our site's operation as a very serious offence. We can call for investigation, in which a detailed report of our site's activities in that day will be given to us. (No, I am not interpol, I'm just very concerned when I sense the slightest hints of malicious acts / mischief committed here.) - when we call for investigations, detailed records (Board Logs) of all activities will be given to us, including detailed member's login information (anti-spammers, mischief), private messages sent in that day (against the misuse of our PM system), non-members activities in our site (anti-hack), etc. - when we say that you have committed a violation, it means that we already have the proof and we are 99% sure of our accusation. 3) You have a long long list of posts in AF, (which sorry, I do not have the time to read through all), so I will just include these 2 most recent examples: QUOTE(Ranchu Lover) I truly agree with you and see what has happened to some forums. This forum encourages newbies to come in and don't kenna told off for asking "stupid" questions. We were all at one time newbie, like myself, still a newbie and waiting to learn some more stuff from this forum. QUOTE(Ranchu Lover) If you are in some other forum, they will wack you for not reading through all the threads before asking stupid question. Please refer to this thread : http://www.arofanatics.com/forums/showthre...age=1&pp=10 (There are some more which dated back to previous years, but I am most unwilling to spend more time finding. If someone has the time, feel free to add on).Given the intent of those topics started, these replies were uncalled for. I do not see how your personal view on that "some forum" or "some other forum", which most readers would perceive as RafflesGold.com, could come into the picture. How are those remarks related to topics of such intents: a) An admin's call for a moderator to a "Forum section" b) A newbie's question on SDB Obviously, you are not happy with the culture, policy and how moderation is being done in that "some forum". Now, this is the thing....: I don't care which 'other forum' you were trying to imply - I am more concerned with which forum the readers will perceive the 'other forum' as. The forum leaders here, including the moderation team, admin, the old birds, and including myself, have perceived the "other forum" as RafflesGold.com. It goes without saying that most readers reading these remarks (who also know about RG.com), would perceive it as RG as well. (Knowing your characters, I have better say this upfront.) So, on why we insist on maintaining such "tight-rein" policy, it is being stipulated in CP's post, so I do not wish to go through it again. I am quite sure you have benefitted from RG, like many do. I am NOT expecting members to worship/praise RG. But at the minimum, forum members should not be making sarcastic remarks, esp to one which they have been learning things from. Like CP mentioned somewhere before, it is like "biting the hands that has been feeding one". |
