Dear RG members,
Currently i use filter like shown below in my TVR tank ![]() ![]() Filter consist of three levels where in each box in every level I put bioballs. The size of my tank is 2 M x 1 M x 0.5 M. From the top level, water flow down to the next level until reach and poured to the pond. I made plenty of little holes in the bottom of each box in order to divide the flow cause many say that large water flow will impact to swimming style of TVR. I put it on the top of my house's roof so it get plenty of sunlight. Sometime the water turn to clear water and sometimes to green water. My question is, does my setup still give negative impact to my TVR's swimming style? Any comment is welcome for the improvement of the set up Thx |

Hi pak Irwan,
That's amazing setup. ![]() I've just curious why green water still exist with your filtration? Regarding the swimming style, I think yes there will be some impact (whether big or small). The Japanese always keeps TVR with aeration only. I myself still admit that I couldn't follow this system 100% (Well, you have seen my setup alive ![]() If you have more space left, I suggest divide it into 2: with and without filtration. And then evaluate their swimming style. Compare them. Thanks This post has been edited by chandramerpati: Wed, 21 Mar 2007 3:05 pm |
