Going To Singapore For A Day In Dec, any suggestions on what to do? Options

Yo SG bros,

I'm most very likely gonna go to your country with my girlfriend & my bro & his girlfriend for one day only (morning till night) in December. Due to the time constraint & my girlfriend's displeasure I will (most very very unfortunately) not be able to look around your magnificent goldfish scenery *sob sob*.

Anywaaay, any of you bros got any suggestions of what should we do and where should we go during our day in SG? Most likely we go shopping (what else) but any suggestions? Orchard Rd etc? How about where to eat? Anywhere that we MUST go eat while in SG (we loooooooooooove food!)? Any place worth shopping and got a look see of some goldfish shops also? Any of you bros wanna be our *free* tour guide? lol

If its only for a day and shopping is a priority, I guess its Orchard Rd then. Plenty of eateries inside the shopping centres too, you'd be spoilt for choice.
