The brown Oranda and the black Oranda are to die for! I love them both! I feed my Oranda's Hikari pellets, Pro-gold pellets, peas, bananas, oranges, spinach and occasionally flakes (if I'm in a hurry). I agree with what the other poster said about head growth, genes do determine! However, I've heard that keeping your tank at or below 70 degrees F and feeding Hikari products will help. The cold water causes the fish to store up fat cells in the wen and the protein rich foods go right for the wen...or so I've been told. Take care of those beauties, I'm green with envy! |
