But there was one caveat in the regulations that seemed to exempt bringing fish into the country in luggage - unless that is just a different set of regulations.
The early history of the goldfish hobby involved one initial import into a region (via ship, no less) followed by a group of enthusiasts breeding and distributing their own fish. I am sort of sorry that I missed that era. Now, we want mass production and global distribution. But, we may be missing the best part of the hobby. Breeding goldfish is a LOT of fun. -steve |
