I received confirmation today that the authorities have destroyed the entire Tung Hoi stock - apparently hundreds of thousands of fish are now dead - this information is not common knowledge as importers are scared this will "frighten" off customers for good - I feel we, as goldfish enthusiasts have the right to know - my entire tank was virtually wiped out because of SVC from fish from Tung Hoi.
Tung Hoi has been shut down until a full investigation is complete. Importing of goldfish to Australia from China has been banned until further notice. |

I don't know what kind of fish Tung Hoi sends Australia, but here in the U.S. they are definitely considered one of the premier breeders in the world. I'd like to see the fish from the farms that make Tung Hoi look unprofessional.
