i was reading a thread on sump tank vs IOF tank.
is sump tank ideal for goldfish? maintenance seem simpler and filtration change and medication could be added quite simply with sump tank, any one has one and can share some experience on sump tank? |

I must be missing something or my IOS is different from the norm? I find cleaning the wet compartment relatively easy. Just remove the sponge, take the net basket of media out, rinse rinse, done.
One thing I do notice about other's IOS. They use wools. Now... wool ain't tight fitting especially since they tend to shrink after one wash. My sponge I cut them to fit perfectly and large particles cannot leak through. My bio media is thus relatively free of particles. |
