i was reading a thread on sump tank vs IOF tank.
is sump tank ideal for goldfish? maintenance seem simpler and filtration change and medication could be added quite simply with sump tank, any one has one and can share some experience on sump tank? |

QUOTE(mountain @ Mon 08 Mar 2004 09:46 PM) very neat indeed, i had one of these tin cans i used to place all my utensils ... guess they are right, u are not only handsome, u are also damn smart. so does placing the sponge filter kick start the bb growth in the IOS faster ?? i guess if you could remember, i had to reboot once awhile ago, and i lamented that i had to use a commercial product (someone said i am pouring dead bugs into my water ) because i can't bare to let the process start slowly by itself. That's what my grand daughter says to me the 1st time she saw my stylo milo aluminium can filter - mummy dries fork and spoon in it. My face was like that Lucky I never bluff her it's some sort of super high-tech filter. Kekeke. You forgotten what we have to say about those zeolite you were using. Unfortunately I use the the old sponge filters and sinter glass from my canister to cycle the new tank. It took about 2 days to cycle it. But I'm getting impressively fast cycling rate for a my QT tank whenever I set it up from scratch with a sponge filter. 1 week tops. |
