SGD 150?! The ranchu can fly or talk? how big for 150? 3,5 inch? What a pricey hobby beauty in the eyes of beholder. to some $150 is cheap. all is relative to the quality and the criteria u used to judge at the spur of the moment. to a common man, $2 fish is no different from $150 fish. expensive fish does not mean it is of good quality. even at $150 and for the quality whom one think is good, the fish may not win competition also. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- too subjective. to put it safely, u can use the commercial "showclass" , "AAA", "AA" title used by the Thai to put a price tag but the quality is all yr judgement call. some hobbists here have bought good quality fish at < S$20 and won in compeitition. they are not even tagged with AAA or "showclass" label. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- what i do is, the higher the price, the selection criteria will be more stringent and will start looking out for present and possible flaws on the fish and whether i can accept the flaws at the high price..... that's why usually i buy cheaper fish....less stress. |
