Green Water: Yes
Country: Singapore

I was googling and came across this unusual (to me) goldfish at a Japanese web site.

IPB Image

It has the head of a top-view ranchu but a butterfly tails. There's a dorsal fin on the ranchu-like body; I wonder how it looks from the side.

I can't read Japanese, but here's the page with more goldfishes I've never seen before.

I believe its just the ful name of Oranda in Japan if iam not mistaking.

If have read about the Name Oranda that it was chosen because the headgrowht reminded the Japanse of The duthc People.
The Nethelands was one of the fiew countrys wo had have contackt/trade whit Japan in years the weare verry isolated and dont let outher counrys near there country.Back in those days The VOC Captians and novelty, upperclas whore wigs those days (hich and curly) could remind them of there headgrowt, i dont have anny evedince of that.

Also i have also read the strory That Oranda typ me have been found in dutch goldfisgfarms (fish that where taken oversea's came in the whit the VOC, and where taken back to Asia/Japan and the cultivated the type.
Holland/The Netherlands was one of the first countrys whit a Goldfisgfarm, if not the frst in europa.I believe the first goldfish arived in Portugal.

Is a very old thread.
Anyway I'm posting my Top View Oranda with their baby. My breed I had actually selected the fry to be a short body and a wider body when view from side but still having the Top View Appreciation.
