QUOTE(愛到你心 @ Mon, 25 Jul 2005 12:58 pm) I was just passing by the shop... My SG friend bring me there before. I see many friends here interested in Ishikawa so I think I should let those who missed the last batch know about it. Anyway, how do i differentiate from commercial posts? I see quite a few "commercially-related" pages "closed" beforeb so I was worried I might have done something wrong too. Sorry I supposed this is directed at me but I did not read this so I didn't reply earlier. Well, so long as you're not representing any LFS or farms or any commercial entities, most posts with regards to info on new shipments of fishes will go through. Why is RG so adament on restricting commercial advertisement? Firstly, RG was initially set up for pure goldfish discussions. It is a "web space for goldfish lovers".. so we have meant to make it more like a forum for HOBBYISTS. We do not welcome commercial entities hiding under the wolf skin of sharing knowledge of goldfish keeping or "helping hobbyists", but in actual fact doing so for the good of their commercial agenda. Furthermore, we do not gain a single cent from these LFS/commercial entities making use of our forum for advetisement. So there is no reason why we should allow these people coming here to use RG as free channel for advertisement. But of course we can always have a sub-forum specially for LFS/commercial entities for them to do their advertisement. That's where they can advertise until the cows come home. They can perform their "Dragon-Slaying 18 stunts" of advertising or wield their "dragon sabres and heavenly swords" on potential customers. yes we can... But they will have to pay for such privilege, of course. RG can die due to lack of money to maintain it. But it cannot fall due to commercial entities messing aroung in it. |

QUOTE(Melvyn @ Fri, 29 Jul 2005 4:02 pm) Hi Lobo Chan, Thanks for your offer. I believe I could help you if you can tell me roughly what you need to purchase. As for now, certain LFS offer low price on certain products/accessories. If you could speak up,I will try my best to recommend.... Am sure some other members could help too if I could not. Cheers! No real needs yet... but occassionally like to so-so a bit at LFS... the bedok shop seems to offer some good prices... other than tat, the neighbourhood shops are a reasonable look-see... Btw guys, wat r the good/quality/cheap LFS at the Pasir Ris Farmway area... ?? |

Btw guys, wat r the good/quality/cheap LFS at the Pasir Ris Farmway area... ?? Hi Lobo, Since you are talking about Pasir Ris Farmway area. As I have visited few weeks ago. The main attraction is obviously Mainland Tropical Fishfarm. I happen to know one of the boss name Mr.Yeo. He is quite a nice fellow, but majority of his accessories and fishes are not that cheap, even after you asked for discount. Some might say good things never cheap, while cheap things never good. The most interesting fishes that I've noticed there is the white and red ryukin. Size around 6-7 ins. plentiful of choices. Other than that,I was not too excited. At one tme, they have even tried to sell TVRs there, but was a failure. So this is my side of the story. Currently,I would rather recommend you to Qian Hu at Sungei Tengah. They have plentiful of cheap and good gfs. (which I believed you are aware) Only problem is a little too far from the east, even though you are driving. As for the Pasir Ris Farmway,if you drive further in where there are few more fish-shops,there is one shop(which I forgot the name),next to the shop selling household seafood. I presume they are still clearing a lot of fish accessories.at a very interesting prices, especially the small glass tanks, pumps and lightings.....etc. They are supposed to be closing down soon. Well it might be a ploy.....try your luck anyway.....no pain no gain. You could buy sharks if you wish..... baby shark fin soups?? That's all for today. If you need more than what I have mentioned, keep me inform. Will do my best to inform you, where are the best deals which I have been hanging around. Cheers!! |

Ivan's Shop (within Fish City Pte Ltd) Tel: 9697-6991 (Ivan) This shop has no name and resides within the "Fish City" lot. There are a few units within that lot and this shop is located at one far corner from the entrance so just follow the signboards leading to the shop. It is a collaboration between a Thai farm and a Singaporean. Brings in quality thai Side View Ranchus, Top View Ranchus and orandas. Fishes are at the pricey end though. Location Map Things to do: There is one well-known tank maker "WeeYang" just around the corner. Qi Kim Hu is also within the same lot. When you are done, swing by to the Farmart Centre which is just nearby for its fabulous food. went there to day and Ivan's kind enough to let us catch his fish while taking pictures. most of his better grades has been sold out ( i get 3 of them ). btw, this is field trip not advertistment, no profit involve with all my pictures.
