You can’t buy trophy they say
I buy this for it just the other day
You can’t buy champion…..tried, tested and true
Yet the same I buy that too
I made a bid and on the spot
Bought faith and dedication within one lot
The price quoted was relatively small
Plus potential all in all
If you think this things are not for sale
Try sourcing and scouring without fail
There exist a future called tategoi
A "tategold" …….I sound…Ahoy!

I like to share this particular piece because it kind of resemble the red calico which I featured in the other thread. This one has a lighter blue shade and a relatively better tail. The red fish has a low set tail and it only scores well in its head growth, body and colors.I will try to work on its girth and colors in the months to come.Hopefully it will peak for the coming show

What I want to say already said by you. This one has a very much better tail. good_very.gif

Coming show not easy..........at VRC comp, you are the only one sending China fish while Vermillion surprisingly (or rather 'strategically') send in Thai fish. At the next MyFancy comp, you may be up against their countless Chinese calicos, Fuzhou Hangzhou Suzhou or whateverzhou............ wacko.gif

Another six months for you to prepare this piece, and you have put it aptly, GOOD LUCK !!

I wonder whether the two minor "bumps" on the backbone will affect the scoring greatly....

Another 4 months have passed since I last shown this fish.Compared to the colors when it was first featured,it has shown marked improvement. The fish has bulked further as seen but the red still remain weak which I'm abit worried rusure.gif

It has been almost a year since I bought this fish.It has cross the 15 cm mark and very much growing. However the colors are still not as vibrant as what a calico should be.Nevertheless this piece still has the potential to improve in the months to come. You didn't get to see this fish at MFGC because he wasn't ready then and neither is he ready now blush.gif

These are a couple of his latest shots and judge for yourself
