Hi,

Anyone keeps Pleco (Sucker Fish) in there tank together with ranchus? Is it advisable?

I am thinking that getting one might help clear the poos of the fishes.

However, I have some doubt... Should I QT a pleco for as long as a goldfish (1 month)?

How should I know if a pleco is sick? White Spot might be easier to see but what about gill disease, internal bacteria, etc?

No need to think. According to plecofanatics.com, their favorite fish WON'T do that for you at all. rofl2.gif

Dunno leh, I am current QT-ing it together with a baby pearl scale. Saw a few very very thin poo... Wonder are they from the pleco or the pearl. I am using this pearl as test to see if this pleco will attack it.

If I see one eye on the pearl scale missing, I will pour Dettol in the QT tank laugh.gif

Now into 2nd day of QT... Both the pearl scale's eyes still in tact... see how lah... Now they still in harmony... seems like the my pearlscale is the one that keeps disturbing the pleco...

I also just bought Dettol.... Also just checked that my oven to be working OK...

"Ebony and Ivory,
lives together in perfect harmony..."
