Hi all!
I have been trying 2cultivate green water since 12days now, as per what HappyBuddha described in his article. The water hasn’t turned green yet, it’s just dirty/cloudy due to ageing & fish poo and I do have some algae settling on the walls n floor of the tub. My pH in the 1st week was ard 7.9 - 8 & ammonia climbed to almost 2ppm but in this week pH in the day times is about 8.8 or more n in night times its 8.4 and ammonia is fallen down to 1ppm . Here in Brisbane we are going into winter now so day time the temps are btw 26- 29 and night time temps are 20 – 23 and I get about 6hrs of direct sunlight and maybe couple hrs more indirect sunlight. Action taken: yes’day I wiped out the algae settling on the walls n floor of tub. And i don’t have a UV shield protection on top of tub, will that matter. Hoping to hear some informative replies from you all. Thanks Guys, Kinder |

G'day Kinder,
You are doing fine. During the autum/winter period, it takes little longer due to short daylight. Don't use UV shield. And get rid of wall algae. It will be fighting with the green water for nutrients. I believe in another 2 days it will start to turn green. Good on you mate! ARoN |

Thanks for that, but im still confused as to if im really going fine with it!
Lets say if my water do turns green after few days. what about the high pH when temp is high, will this high pH pattern continue once i establish my green water or is it just limilted to the cultivation stage? Thanks, Kinder |

Thanks Guys, Kinder i also have some problems getting greenwater, my question is when i scrub off the algae settling on the wall, do i need 2 suck up some water that contain algae or just scrub off the algae and leave it in the tank? |
