besides fujitsu, toshiba would also be another one that i'll consider

usually ppl ask which notebook is good .. but in actuality, the deciding factor is always $$$ .. so say u got $2000, then look ard range of products and specifications within $2000. but of caz there are brands to avoid .. i do know *ell cannot make it .. while IBM is ponpipi steady

I think most if not all notebook are made in Taiwan...

Actually, before you decide which notebook to buy, it's better to be honest to yourself and ask why you need one. If it's becoz your work requires you to use your office software... then no choice but claim one from the office.

But if it's becoz you think it's cool to own one and be very mobile... let me suggest you die die go and borrow one from a fren (last time can rent one from a shop in Funan; dunno still have or not) to see if you'll find it cool and very mobile. The biggest annoyance is the battery life. I think most PC notebook has 2 hours + of battery life nia, so you end up carrying the AC adapter with you everywhere you go. Heck... when you finally decided you can surf and PCC on your bed, you find out your power point is too far away. Okay... you decided the bed is not a good place to surf and moved out to the living room to watch soccer on the TV and surf at the same time. Nahhia... you'll wish your coffee table is as tall as your writing desk coz it's so low you'll get a backace typing on the keyboard. You gave up the idea of surf and watch TV quickly. So your notebook end up on your computer desk. Song ah! Finally you're sitted comfortably to use a computer. But now you find out the pathetic graphics card on a mobile PC doesn't make gaming as fun as on your desktop PC! So you end up spend $2000+ on a small (not that small for $2k notebook) that is slow, clumsy to use, and not very mobile!
