Can I house my ranchu on these white basin, and do weekly water change?
Will the white background cause any stress to them?

I have seen pictures of Japanese Tosakin being kept in basins. I guess as long as the water condition is OK then your goldfish will be OK. I gather that the stillness of the water and restrictive swimming will cause the tail to flip forward like the Tosakin.

I think if you are keeping the butterflytail or tosakin, then should be OK. For ranchu and oranda, then I think it will not be good.

Advisable not or else the ranchu's color will blend in with the white basin...
losing color intensity.
