Hi Leong,
After seeing all 3 ranchu that you have posting, with the same traits of big popping eyes, personnally, I think you will seriously need to review the way they are kept....

This is by far your best out of the 3 fishes. Do you have picture of the other side of the same fish?

The curvature is good. And the back is smooth.

But it looks kind of skinny to me. You can feed with higher % of BW to pump up the hood. Groom it well in green water and ample food and it should look better in about 2 months' time.

This is the nicest out of the three fishes shown, but sorry,it is still lousy.
OK,well, for once they dont look like culls.
Why does your fishes all have the stunt looks? You also seem to like to collect fishes that are neither top nor side views. This piece may look better from the top.

Looks like it's on its way to be a stunted fish like the rest of your collection.

Please wake up and put away your old beliefs on how to keep goldfish. You may have years of expereience but what's the use if mere pictures clearly show us they are WRONG type?

Sorry, but you can do better.

Perhaps comments should just be objective and helpful.
Leave out the sarcasm, arrogance and pure obnoxious remarks.

Yes, isn't it this is place where we are learn from each other? So what is actually your issue and what is the problem of sharing my fishes with others?

What is RG objectives? unsure.gif Is sharing so unwelcome?
Are we here to share or to compare?
Yes, some of you does have very nice SV and probably paid a price, but don't forget out there some kids are picking up the hobby with their limited cash. Do you encourage them to share their collection?

Questions should be why am I doing this, if you are wise you got the answer.

Anyway, bros and sister no worries, I shall not bother anyone again.

Sorry but I do not understand your objective. Are you implying that you had intentionally post poor quality fishes for some purpose?

From the 'pics of your tanks thread',it is obvious that you have very nice ranchus and you would have had at least 15 years (the 1990 photo) of fishkeeping experience.
The 3 SV that you posted in GA were done before the 'pic of tank' thread.I am very confused after seeing thread and asked myself whether you are playing some kind of a game or have some hidden agenda.

I agree that the comments on this fish 072 is unobjective (and I feel that some comments may have went overboard) but my guess its because that the comments are the same as 069 and 070 and that fellow forumers are tired of repeating the same thing.

Correct me if i am wrong,GA is meant for fish where the owner thinks it is a nice fish and put it up for comments. No need to be showgrade or expensive, those value for money also can.But not when knowinglyknow that its lousy and still post.Makes me feel like taken for a ride.

Maybe it will be more objective if you can enlighten us on why you are doing this,as I am not wise enough to get the answer.

Thank you in advance.

Mr Leong,
I would also like to further clarify that even though I have replied to your post #8,(in which you had quoted post#6 in the posting),I am not the writer for post#6.

This is to prevent misunderstanding that I had posted in retaliation.

Hi CH Leong,

Please don't let these not-so-good experiences shy you away from posting your fishes again. GA is for everyone to learn. I hope you adopt a more positive attitude from your GA experience.

I would believe you have learnt a few things, which you otherwise would not, if you have not posted your fishes. The 2 important hightlights which I thought you should have noticed from the bros' assessements are:

1) Selection skill of your SV ranchus.

2) The method which you're keeping your fishes.

Yes, some of the comments on your fishes are rather harsh. But think about it, if these fishes are indeed good, there won't be so many negative assessments. In fact you would receive praise for good choice of fish. It has absolutely nothing to do with which bros owning nice fishes or paid highly for whatever.

It is how able you are in taking negative comments / criticisms that shows your true self.

A loser would choose to walk way crying in embarassment, upon receiving criticisms. He would never learn in his life because he thought that the people who criticized on him are picking on him intentionally. If you should choose to be angry and upset by the criticisms throw upon your fishes, I can be sure to tell you that you will end up picking ugly fishes again in future, and that your selection skills would never improve. Only people who are true to you will wake you up to hard facts. Foes would praise you for your mistakes and giggle behind the scene.

A winner-to-be would choose to take criticisms positively and avoid what people have pointed out against. He would THANK those who criticized on him previously for his mistakes and inadequacy in certain knowledge. He would choose to learn from those criticisms and improve on himself, instead of walking away with "I know I am right! ALL OF YOU are WRONG!" I hope bros who posted their fishes adopt such positive attitude. If you want people to comment on your fishes, you have to be mentally prepared for criticisms which usually hurt your feelings

I can say for certain, once you adopt to the assessments made by the bros here, the next fish that you are going to buy would be better than these 3 not-so-good SV ranchus that you have posted.

Yes, GA is for bros to share.. but more importantly, LEARN. Please read through what the founder has written on this GA sub-forum:
http://www.RafflesGold.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=784

You will understand more on the REAL objectives of GA (I think you have a misunderstanding from your posts) and why we would rather owners to withhold their anonymousness.

Cheers,
desireless

certainly , the sarcastic and obnoxious comments are uncalled for.

hey at least u got comment, when i first started last yr i ve almost no comments previously, later i realise that they are afraid to hurt "feelings" and kill the joy of this hobby.

the only explanation i see in the "rude" comments is that u have built up such anxiety and high expectation that many are in away disappointed thereafter. human do err. forgive them. Christmas is coming, forgive a little.

those who err , better go to indian / chinese temple, church or mosque and seek forgiveness. beg2.gif

Whaaat?

Self-moderation has always been in place.

You decide if a behaviour is acceptable. File a complaint if you feel otherwise.

My task here in the GA is to adjust the posting status, and making sure no one breaks the posting guidelines.

It's not my job to police anyone to be nice. smile.gif

Ah Tan... Simi? So long as the posts do not lang-gar with the forum policy, they will be appoved. What do you expect from these fishes? What else you expect us to do? Edit those posts to make them sound nicer?

For all I know, there are 2 more nice-looking fishes zao-geng in his main tank setup.

I agree to 95% of bro cpiw's post:
