Ah Tan, please do not confuse the general forum guildlines with GA's.

I don't see what one can learn from GA should everyone say nice things about a lousy fish. My opinion is: Criticisms should be precise and just. No point decorating a negative judgement. In the end, the owner might mistake the nicely-worded criticism as a praise. Then everything would be good and nice... what's left to learn?

This is why the anonymity of GA. You can't see the owner of the fish. So there's no need to "give face" when leashing out criticisms. In the case when someone makes a wrong assessment, there will always be someone else to disagree. As you can see from comments on these 3 Leong's fishes, not a single one is positive. Why is this? What does this tell you? Think about it.

You have to understand why this special sub-forum "Goldfish Academy" was set up initially. Without this GA, everyone can post their fishes in "Fancy Goldfish", like in the past. Then every other member would try not criticize on a friend's fish, try to say nice things about a lousy fish, mince words, hold back comments, etc. RG members can never learn nor improve this way.
