QUOTE(Frankie @ Sun, 04 Sep 2005 1:44 pm)
what I meant by low quality is that these TVRs do not exhibit the good traits that a tvr should have, eg long head, long bodies, strong tail etc.they all have short bodies and weak peduncle and weak tails.

i do not go along with the categorisation of Ranchus into AA, AAA, Premium ,Showgrade etc etc.they are all just marketing bullshit.when buying fish, forget about the gradings.gradings influences pricing.you should not let that sway your judgement.

i hope my explanation is clear enough.apologies if there are any misunderstanding.

"low quality tvrs" comment, i would disagree. That they have short bodies, I agree but the top photo right Ranchu is a reasonably acceptable specimen. That they all have short heads, I would strongly disagree. The development is very good. Peduncles are not thick but reasonable. Tails are not strong but they are not weak either smile.gif Clearly they are in swimming motion, and my personal view is that if they are spread out when swimming, they are certainly too stiff.
