Hi CH Leong

I admire your act that despite the bird has preyed upon your fish you have released this villian. beg2.gif  beg2.gif  beg2.gif
Perhaps you should have released it far away in another part of the country as far as you can go to break his orientation of home coming............Any bros have other ideas to deter such an act?

Hi,
Actually my basic instinct is destroy it but rational overrule. To me this incident is very interesting. About 6 months ago when I did not cover my tub, the bird took its first bite with one loss of a black butterfly. After it was spotted once and was chased away. Now it returned with success and more damages. It demonstrated that it has the ability to map out Singapore, the area, the house and the position of my tubs and tanks. No GPRS at all!
I believe it will come back to hunt again, with greed and easy meals in its mind.

Rgds

If you catch it again, don't release it in Jurong area hor. Coz my fishes are in outdoor tubs also.

releasing it far away won't be effective in breaking his orientation of home coming unfortunately.

No wonder I don't have a problem with birds, I have a golden retriever as well as a husky. The husky is often seen barking at crows that try to steal his kibble. Very effective deterrent smile.gif

Hi,

Recently there's a king fisher's been hanging around my house lately and eaten most of my GFs. Since then I covered the GFs pond with net. However after doin so seems like the GFs are getting sick one after another..... Just happen got a call back home telling me that few of my Gfs had just died.

What should I do with the killer bird??? Should I conyinue to cover the pond?

Need advise

If your fishes have been due to sickness, the problem is with your pond. Not the net. I guess netting your pond is the best solution.... Unless you have an effective way of catching the bird and STONE it with anger
