1. tank is a closed tank with a ledge, the autofeeder - holder cannot fit.
2. always got phobia that the feeder will spoil, and not work like it should and all the food drop out.
// so far, the feeder sometimes turn and then drop insufficient food or sometimes just the reverse.

problem is the auto-feeder is too big for my 2 fishes, the min notch gives out too much, so i modified it and it does not work as well.
*

Can always do some tricks to make the hole smaller, like sticking some plastic film etc to make the hole smaller.

I am using the Japanese made auto-feeder. One of them drop into the tub overnight and did not work. However, yesterday, I took it out after 3 months from the cabinet and loaded a battery and it started working again. I guessed the water must have dried out completely and it started working again without any problem.

Maybe you should consider the better quality auto-feeder. Pece of mind. Then again why spend so much on an expensive auto-feeder when you are spending so little on your fish?

For a $030 fish, it certainly will have to outlast many many generations of fish keeping.

You need to check your eyes. $0.30 fish and not $30/- Japanese Auto-feeder.
