Lincoln,

You still did not mention how many fish.

Algae by the sides,is the water clear?.If you have algae and clear water I suspect the system is already cycled with nitrates as end product.Few weeks mean got time to cycle already.Perhaps got BBs from your old airstone.Thats why no green water.

(p/s - from your earlier postings advocating green water I am quite surprised at this posting)

I think the system is cycling due to BBs(even without filter). The ammonia produced is consumed by BBs instead of the green water's free floating algae.Maybe you shd try starting from scratch with new airstones.

(Sorry ah,I post like expert but I do not use green water.Regurtiating facts from reading only.Bros who are more well versed in this field pls correct me if I am wrong otherwise I will be misleading people)

So sorry I am not well versed in chemical reaction.cos I failed my sicence in my skool days..hehehehe..what nitrates, Ph....blaablablaaa..I am very stupid one lo..From What I know, creating green water, everything must be simple, one tub,anti-chlorine,airstone and sunlight, thats what I learned from a professional cos he say must keep it the way japanese man are keeping their ranchu(totally no chemical added at all). Think I saw one post regarding about green water setup, must wash the tub till very clean so no BB will be created.. Think I will just have to setup everything again longpia.gif anyway thank you brazzz...really appreciate your advise... yes.gif
