Competition Information

Competition Fish must be brought to Singapore Expo, Hall 3, on 24 May 2005.

• BENCHING IN
Date: 24 May 2005
Time: 1400 – 1700hr (for Discus, Betta & Dragon Fish)
1700 – 2000hr (for other categories)

The oraganisers would greatly appreciate if participants could adhere to the above time schedule.

• REGISTRATION & COLLECTION OF BADGE
Please show this letter of confirmation to the security guard at the main entrance to gain admission to the fish competition registration area located at the back of the Exhibition Hall. Upon your arrival at the exhibition site on 24 May 2005, a badge which valid throughout the show period will be issued to each participant. Participants are not allowed into the hall on 25 May 2005. Winners will be notified by phone on the eve of 25 May 2005.

Please ensure that your badge is collected before the start of benching.


• PRIZE PRESENTATION

GRAND CHAMPION: The prize presentation for the Grand Champions will be held during the Opening Ceremony on 26 May 2005 from 0900 - 1000hr. Winners of Grand Champions will be informed by phone on 25 May 2005.

CLASS PRIZES: The prize presentation ceremony for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing for each class in each category will be held on 28 May 2005 (Saturday) from 1500 - 1600hr. Winners of class prizes will be notified via phone accordingly.

Rules & Regulations

Rules to Adhere:-

1. Once the fish are accepted and displayed at the exhibition, participants are not allowed to remove any fish from the tank unless prior approval has been obtained from the Organiser.

2. No feeding is allowed during the entire exhibition

3. Judging will take place on 25 May 2005. Reputable local and foreign judges have been invited to judge the Fish Competition. The decision of the Chief Judge is final and no disputes will be entertained.

4. No participants are allowed to be at the hall during judging day, 25 May 2005.

5. All participants are to collect their fish from the tanks on 29 May 2005 between 1900 – 2100hr. Competition fish which are not collected after the specified date and time shall become the property of the Organiser.

6. The Organiser shall engage competent contractors to look after the welfare of the fish for the duration of the exhibition. However, the Organiser shall not be held responsible for the loss or mortality of fish due to natural causes or any other unforeseen circumstances.

I feel that there were many other better ones that should have won something.Huge fishes they are, at least 7 inches, some 8 or 9.
