Hi,

Just wanted to know where and in what quatity folks here buy their frozen blood worm.

I have been buying some in the past but as I buy individual packs instead of a box, I have found that they are in consistantly kept.

There have been times when I found the whole pack of blood worm as having a very dark color and bad smell. To me this was sign of the individual packs have undergone multiple thawing and refreezing.

Any recommendation would be great on how to buy them and from whom. . Currently only have 3 ranchus ( 2inch big) so cant consume too much.

Thanks

Lum

Generally blood worms can kept long times , will not turn bad if you have keep in the freezer without defrost. It may be the cheap brand you buy. Try "thumb brand gold packing", bloodworms are big & solid red look very fresh when you defrost it.

Yes no joke, you can try areas like Kaki Bukit Bedok Reservoir Road near to hawker center and Enos C.C. sorry i cant rememeber the LFS name. But not many LFS selling this product. Worms are bigger & fresher compare to hikari or other china brands.

While on this topic of frozen BWs, I have recently opened a new box of Hikari and noticed that the worms were bigger this time round.Wonder if any other bros have the same experience.
