i also planning for the D5D when i come back to singapore in Oct for holiday. the kit lens sounds good for that wide end. else i have my 24-105mm yes.gif

I was playing with it in KM showroom, beside the point that it is made in China, there is sound when the AF is turned off using manual focus. I'm looking at if someone would take the kit lens before I buy. Camera is good fit for my hands, if you have handled OM4 with grip, it feels the same, in some way better. I would recommand for the wide end to get a dedicated since you got 24mm already. F3.5 is really not something to shout about.

dedicated wide? not gonna be cheap leh.... i was thinking about maybe a sigma 11-24, but quite hard to justify to myself the 500+ (i think) need for this small range for landscape. changing lens is a chore too...

No I'm a Olympus SLR user minolta is a brand new thing to me but the D5D offer is damn good.

ah ok. the current olympus DSLR or film? i guess switching camp is gonna cost you quite a bit then.
