Every now and then there exists a solid masterpiece from a band out of nowhere and somehow they ended famous only for that piece.I call them "one hit wonders".
Here are some examples that I can recall,but there are many many more....

Square room by Al Corey

Oh yeah... Square Rooms. Al Corley was an actor in a Gay show called "Dynasty"
... He had 2 other hits in Europe called "Cold Dresses" and "Land Of the Children" which of course didn't make it here to SG.

Kraftwerk... I only know this "Tour De France"

Nena made a comeback 2 years ago with a duet song "Anywhere" with KIM WILDE.. Woo how I love this chic. Kim Wilde did came back with this very much Madonna-styled song called "LOVED".

Talking about comebacks, these 3-4 years saw a lot of 80's artistes doing their comeback feats... but their campaign were rather unsuccessful

a-ha - came back after 7 yr of silence.. but with rather weak result.
Duran Duran - came back good (in their original 5). But quite silent recently.
Kylie - wow.. totally mad over this gal. I believe her breast cancer slowed down down her pace.
Kim Wilde - one good song and that's it.
Bananarama - you'll be surprised with their hit "Move In My Direction" this July.. unexpectedly superb
Matt Goss - from BROS... one lousy album last yr
Modern Talking - came back in 1998 with their comeback album titled "Back For Good"... but just last yr they announced separation and are now "Gone For Good"
Debbie Gibson - came back (as "Deborah Gibson") with 1 album.. and went missing again from the pop scene. She's doing broadway now
Tommy Page - came back silently under another record company. Had an album but it was not officially released due to copyrights issues.
Rick Astley - last album released in 2001. After that, he released several "Best Hits" to cheat money.

Out of so many 80's artistes/bands.. the only one that I missed most is "Johnny Hates Jazz". Never another band had so many hits in just one album.
