This may not be the best place to ask about Koi, but one of my dad's koi..is acting strange...it's as if he/she's showing signs of itching...he randomly bumps himself on the glass..sometimes,he is gasps,then he stops for a while,gaspes again...Though,he isnt showing any sign of infections or anything...ANy help?Thank you guys very much

Sounds like some parasitic infection.

LA should be that cold for the past week. if a new fish, probably need to do a PP bath together with the rest of the fish. read more about potassium permanganate treatment in this forum. for a old fish, did you change something, add something very recently ? a week or less. A PP bath is a sure thing to do for now. A parasite outbreak. React fast. |

Flashing is definitely sure sign of parasites.If no microscopy available do a general pp bath as prescribed by Matrix but do ensure optimal aeration as I fear oxygenation may be compromised.

Umm...sorry to say this but i forgot about coming back...but you know,the koi is back to normal.....he isnt acting that way anymore...as for that night i see him do that was quite odd..i think it was only in that specific day....My dad's water tank bubbles wont pop as fast though...could that be it?maybe?though thanks alot guys for answering me.
