short tail black demekin
short tail red demekin

If I'm not wrong (attention pple in the matrix) biggrin.gif

demekin is the japanese name for this type of goldfish
dragon eye is the chinese ...
moor is western name... (and in this part of asia used to describe Black ones only)

long tail short tail... are just tails! They don't make any difference to the names whether it's moor, dragon eyes or demekin.

load your bullet ...

I prefer to call them dragon eyes but demekin requires fewer keystrokes. tongue.gif Moor is lagi short but ... most pple think of moor as second class dragon eyes, which they are not.

bang.

I saw some rather cute ones just this afternoon. Unfortunately I cannot remember which farm it was. I went to Mainland, Aquafauna, 35A and the one opposite 35A the name of which I cannot remember. You might want to check them out since they're around the same neighbourhood.

The quality is generally very good. Big round eyes, big high hump, and tails that spread open evenly. I was quite tempted to buy but I remember I'm short of tub space so unless it's a perfect fish, I pass. I can't remember the price but it wasn't expensive especially when compared to many lionhead I saw today. That's right, they weren't even ranchus but lousy chinese lionhead. 3-4 inches ones are asking for $40? C'mon!!!

Should be at 35A, saw around 10+ of them in one of the display tanks last week. If I am not wrong, quoted for $58 !!!!!

You're probably right. I now remember they were in a glass tank that was standing alone near the entrance instead of among the rolls of glass tanks.

Whoa, I didn't know they cost $58, which IMO is overpriced. They must be of excellent quality which I don't appreciate. Sigh.
