WC depends on how long it takes for the water to turn fouled. That's why it is always better to set 1 sick fish to 20litres and above (I am using 1 fish to 40-50 lites now) of water for treatment.

Did you JYP bomb to treat whole tank instead of segregating the sicked fish?

Do keep in mind that JYP will affect your filtration. So after this treatment, the BB colony is probably gonna be nearly wiped out and you'll have to do more frequent changes until the filter is cycled again.

The colour is not the way to tell if JYP has expended its effectiveness. I also do not know to what extend the BB has been wiped out. So to play safe, change your water more frequently because your filter might not be working as it used to be.

it is true that JYP will "protect" the fish from illness??a lfs owner told me to put JYP everytime i do WC to protect the fish..according to him..and after how many weeks will the JYP expire after u used it..because of the small amount i use,i dont tink i can finish using..i tink the next time i used it would probably be when my fish is sick..
