Abstracted from arofanatics. Quote:) Originally posted by Angler there's this shop along Simon Rd (mins walk from Kovan MRT) which sells Jap Ranchu, forgot the name of shop, something Covenent...... I went to this shop once and have the following comments to make: 1. The owner is a guy called Sean (not sure of the spelling). He only started keeping goldfish for 6 months and works in DPEX. 2. His partner (the fatter guy) asked me where I buy my ranchu and I told him Straits Aquarium. He told me" I also buy from there". 3. The Japan ranchu are from Japan but the story is that it was first imported into Thailand by a Thai breeder. He selects what he needs for his breeding stock. Sends the reminder to Singapore to a Company called Rainbow in Sungei Tengah. The best 100 pcs of the lot went to House of Ranchu and the rest to Covanent. |

QUOTE(domho7 @ Tue 02 Mar 2004 10:41 PM) Shipment postpone again. This Thursday. Will keep u guys updated. Goldfish from HOR have arrived. They arrived yesterday evening. Report: Most of the show grade is reserved, there are a few remaining show grade fish..... which I couldn;t find any that I like. The show grade consist of 2 type : LionChu and Ranchu.... The coloration of the fish is good, the arches are average. There is one show ranhcu that are quite good, but the coloration is not strong and it have only ONE ANAL FIN....hehhehhe I know HB like single anal fin.... The smaller fishes quality are average too There are also 2 tub of topviews (2.5"~3.5") there, AA & AAA... there are still some not bad fish.....hehheeh I pick one which I find is not bad given it's price. The fish is still there. if any brudder go down, you can still see the fish there, orange in color with nice big OZA(very rare among thai fish) and nice backbone. The tail is slightly too big, but the tail shoulder is there and I hope when the fish grow bigger, the tail will drop down a little bit more and make the tail look smaller.. cheers |
