hmm, here's my 2 GnG ranchus. unfortunately, i think the growth is slow. both are still around 3.5" max. please shoot and i appreciate the most brutal judgement. and tell me got potential or not laugh.gif

i just "upgrade" their flat to a 3ft condo a month ago, before that the stocking ratio not too good. maybe that explain the slow growth?

if i'm not wrong, ranchu no 1 will not be able to grow much larger... this is due to the arch of the back... very steep bent... (actually, i like this kind of back leh... biggrin.gif) so growth rate might be slow and limited... but if the back is gradually arch... more chances grow bigger... hmm.gif this is what i heard from breeder...

the first ranchu is better than the 2nd ranchu... in term of back arch... this one too straight and down... not sure whether got affect the growth rate or not... unsure.gif

btw, are these supposed to be side or top view? rolleyes.gif

ehh u r the 1st one who told me the 2nd one is better leh! actually i do prefer the yellow one, but 2 problems. tail and headgrowth. imho. the yellow one is more proportional, and has much better swimming posture as compared to the white one.

the yellow one is frm 2nd batch ($10+), the white one is last batch ($30+?). wat a difference tat make in the headgrowth cry.gif

Bro square and mountain. Your GnG ranchus are so big! I saw with my own eyes only mountain's fishes that evening I went to pick mine up from wee yap.

I still can't get over the fact yours are so huge compared to mine. They all look the same size when I saw their photos. Anyway I didn't have much choice as there were, if I recall correctly, two left-overs to pick.

Anyway, here're two pics of my "wee yap bloodline." It has been in an outdoor green water tub most of the time (after a 2 weeks QT), but for the past month it's in clear water at HappyBuddha's place.

I have fishes that developed better than this one!
