Scale wise it is smaller because of lesser number of games offered. Being the first time, we cannot be too ambitious. The SEA games has been established for many years liao and currently about 40plus games are offered (with many chapalan ones). Last turnout at Manila was 5k+ athletes.

This Youth Olympics on the other hand offers only 26 games, so only about 3k plus atheletes. Proportionally it is about the same. I would expect that after the 3rd or so round, it should mature to offer more games and bigger scale.

I hope we do not malu ourselves... Being host, I guess we can target about 10 Olympics gold... perhaps? wink.gif Olympics GOLD leh... big deal hor... yes.gif

Seriously, I find publicity either lacking or failed to hype the event. Only thing that is etched in my memory is the IRRITATING YOG cheer . rofl2.gif

Who are the superstars of the event ? Which promising young talent to look out for ? Who is the Usain Bolt of tomorrow?

Other than Tom Daley vs Qiu Bo in diving, I wouldnt even bother to tune in.
