Thank you! She eats 3x's daily..All fresh vegetables, blood-worms, and homemade gel food. This was her about 4 weeks ago before going into Pond. Her colors have changed so much over the past few months. She was treated with Prazi for any internal worms. I will get a updated side pic tomorrow morning of her in the pond.

Thank You! Yeah, Bella just fit her well yes.gif When I brought her home her cheeks weren't so bubbly. Good water and excelent foods all help good_very.gif heres a side pic of her this morning after her breakfast. She's starting to fill with eggs again. When I brought her home She had a bacterial infection from egg impaction. Since I'm experienced with handspawing, I helped her release eggs and treated with a broad spec med. I also took a quick pic of Miki, She's my bubble-eye... blush.gif

KokiBali I forgot to add to the post. Genetics play a huge role in how goldfish grow. Some are meant to be short and fat long and slim. Believe me they all eat. They eat better than me it seems. My door of my frezzer is dedicated to them..lol I would never dump a bunch of food in just to gain a unhealthy fish..They all eat 3x's daily. fastning on Saturdays. Peas on Sundays. Fish aren't meant to be perfect nothings perfect as a matter of fact. She's perfect in my eyes. Healthy and happy and lives in a huge pond.

Hi Jewels,

Thanks for sharing with us. You have good skill and knowledge in breeding goldfish. From the side profile, the body looks short and thin. Try to feed her more pellets to improve her body.

You are right, genetic plays a huge role.

Thank You peace.gif I try to stay clear of pellets anymore these days. I do however feed Brown rice which is a great source of protein for them. I do mix up their feeding from day to day. I never feed the same foods in 1 day. I make different kinds of gel foods for them. Protein cubes, veggie, fruit, ect...

Hi Jewels,

Looks like your good at giving proper care to your goldies....Bella seems to be doing gr8 in your care....I suggest since you have good skills and knowledge in taking care for your goldies....maybe you should try to bring in some higher grade of goldies (thats if you have time & space to accomodate) i sure they will be as rewarding as Bella and fun.
