I think that will work... but wouldn't the water in your tub eventually overflow? It's still best to discard the old green water and start afresh weekly. If the weather condition is such that your green water turns too intensed, diluting by siphoning out some will be fine.

If I'm not wrong, the fish need to be in the green water for at least 3-4 weeks before you will see any noticable change.

As a general rule, a 5% seed should be okay. Experiment with the percentage to find out how to balance how quickly the water turns intensely green and your work schedule. Over time you'll learn to make changes to even accomodate forcasted weather condition. tongue.gif of course.... this is not necessary if you use artificial lightings.

Oxygen burn is really a problem for outdoor green water pond. So far I only know one bro experienced it (a few times!) If I'm not wrong, the fish won't die directly becoz of oxygen burn (correct me if I'm wrong). I don't know what's the remedy except to correct the water condition and let the fish heals itself.

i'm one of the few who experienced O2 burn in a indoor (actually is balcony) tub. nothing deadly, just some damaged fins which recovered quite quickly.

just change water when the green is too intense lor
