yup i agree.. greenwater will enhance the colour of yr goldfish so if u wanna maintain the black, dun keep it in greenwater

Green water is no good for black fish, also Hikari Lionhead.
Since Green water and Hikari lionhead will promote color, which no need for black fish.
Clean water is a way to go for Black fish with lot of sun. For food, i recomment Fresh foods or Saki Hikari Growth.

This is not true at all.

We already have more than enough examples here on black goldfishes kept in gw and maintaining their black colour so we have pass the stage to argue on whether it is good or no good to keep black fish in green water.

There is no enough evidence around that the gene of a black goldfish will suddently deteriorate when kept in gw over long period. It is what you feed that may affect the colour of your fishes. Avoid especially food with RED enhancer.

Black moors are raised and kept green water in china farms and they remain black throughout their lives

Way back in 2006,I conducted an experiment on black ranchus in green water and had concluded there is no basis to believe that black ranchu will lose its blacks in green

Here is the thread and its detailed explanation and the scientific literature to support my findings
