Hi I'm a new member.

Is this Ranchu stunted? I'm going to buy it from a reputable seller.

It is 8-9cm total length and is listed as high grade quality.

Thank you for any comments.

Hi please do not worry about whether this fish will sale. These fish are usally sold out within a week because there is very high demand where I live. Also this fish is in an unknown location, could be anywhere in the world, I don't think it will affect the sale of this particular fish. Any comments will only affect my decision to buy it.

Thanks for your concern.

Ah yes I remember this fish which I bred then.It was not born a runt but it was conditioned to become stunt biggrin.gif What that means: this fish was not given enough space to realise its potential and growth was very much retarded. So a stunt is very much environmentally determined while a runt is born to be one, independant of any external influences.

Stunt issues aside, perhaps you can gauge on whether it is "high grade quality" as advertised by refering to this thread:

I would still buy goldrush stunted fish for many $$$ smile.gif. Your fish has much better colour, shape, some hood growth in comparison to the above fish.
