Green Water And Water Chages Options

Hi,

I have a question about green water and water changes. Instead of doing weekly water changes, can you take out about 5 or 10 percent of the water and then just run a uv light in the pond about once a week until the water clear up, then add the seeded water back into the pond to avoid water changes? Not sure if this is a good idea but just a thought.
