hi i have 3 fancy's a pearlscale, a moor and i think its an oranda lionhead?
they're quite small inch to 2 inch long. tank is 20 gallon, nitrates and nitrites safe but do have a reading of .25 for amonia. seems to be constantly at that reading even after water change? marina slim filter 20. only had tank for couple of months. anyway the oranda keeps floating after feeding the other 2 are fine. was feeding flake but the one with problem is like a hoover and gets most of the food leaving the other 2 with little. so changed to sinking pellets so could feed them more individually. tried giving it boiled pea which seemed to work for a while but problem returns every time i feed normal food? its always hungry and recovers after a day and swims about fine but as soon as i feed it it floats? |

Your fish has swim bladder problems (sbp), normal flakes are the worst food for goldfish, so stop that and feed daily a bit of pea, anything veggie or fbw but less or no pellets at all. Best still you can move all your fish outdoors and use green water (green water) otherwise no hope of curing them indoors. I hope that helps. Cheers |
