Happens to be in Yishun and visited AquaStar.

sponge replacement for guppy brand $2

guppy brand filter $4.5

HB, in the list you have

Shiruba Air-pump SP107-SW listed twice in Filtration and also in Misc.

It might be on purpose, so just point out just in case it was an oversight peace.gif

I've removed the duplicate entries for Shiruba. blush.gif

I also want to thank you for sourcing the replacement sponge! It's hard to come by, but I did bought two before and kept them as spare. Unfortunately I cannot remember where I bought them but now that you mentioned AquaStar, I suspect that's where I got mine. I should highlight that of the two spares I have, one isn't properly aligned when they dug out the hole in the middle. It's offset to one side and the filter looks as if it's going to topple over. So watch out of this QC problem when you get yours.

The replace sponge for guppy brand can also be found in L35F... the price on the plastic bag is $2.

BTW do u guys find the spong for the Guppy Brand is very fragile? so slight scratching and it tiny bits comes out liao. Those Enqing or china brand type don;t seem to have this problem.

AiM Auto Feeder is selling $16.50 at 63 pasir ris farmway, same lot as JK Koi.

Yep I experience the same thing, I suppose HB also hence he put on the condom for the sponge. I went to Ikea last Saturday and pretend ... to put the condom into the trolley, home minister asked me to put it back on the shelf ... end of discussion.

The only problem with the other brands although I felt it was better being more porous, it is somehow less effective as compared to guppy brand. Maybe is the sheer size.

Cheers

Actually, I use the aluminium can first and foremost for esthetic reason. Next I find it helps trap large debris stopping many from floating around. Larger debris get suck into the can and then drop down and stay internally. Finally my fishes can't nip on the sponge (seemingly for food)

Tonight (or whichever night you need to perform nite duty) before you go to bed, power on your PC and surf to this page and stare for like... an hour. Make sure when she finds you're behaving strangely and ask what's wrong, reply "nothing" but then mumble something about "$4.90 only, I'm a pal of ikea got points to collect, you bought your mom those tupperware that costs half my monthly salary, Caster owns 11 sponge filters, HB say its good for trapping debris and on and on" before you tell her, "sian... tonite no mood for sex, dear."

Tomorrow you'll find your 2 feet tank expanded to 4 ft!

dennis, we are on the same boat, just that my boat is a little smaller in size.

HB, if I did what you suggested, I'm sure it will not become 4ft ... history will not repeat itself.

Holycow! I was just told that the Shiruba pump is now selling at just $13.80 at Darwin, down from the already cheapest in town $15. It typically retails for $19 at other LFS.
