I came up with a simple spreadsheet to calculate my monthly Power and Water bill, it gives me an idea how to manage my equipment and which to replace to reduce utilities cost. It's very crude though.
![]() I couldn't attached it here but if you're interest, drop me your email address and I send it over. ![]() |

HB I've send the file. Would appreciate if you could run through it to see if it's user freindly enough to use without instruction. If you know the rates, please verify that also. Thanks

If you know the rates, please verify that also. Thanks ![]() It certainly is user friendly; I got down to work out the numbers moments after I opened it in excel. I was taken aback at the coloumn for water change interval. But quickly I found the instruction that it's how many times per month and not times per week. Good job! I've emailed my suggestions back to you, and hope to be able to put it up for everyone to download once you reviewed them. May I also suggest in a new version that you put in, perhaps in a sperate sheet within the same spread sheet, a calculator for volume based on a tank's dimension? With the volume, we could input a percentage figure (like 0.2%) and know immediately for how much salt to use. Many bros, myself included, are still confused over the correct dosage. A conversion from US/UK gallons to litres (and vice versa) would be handy too. 1 US Gallons 3.785 Litres 1 UK Gallons 4.546 Litres 100 Litres 26.417 US Gallons 100 Litres 21.997 UK Gallons 1 Litre 61.024 cubic inches Cheers! |

QUOTE(hun citizen @ Thu 04 Dec 2003 05:45 PM) Yes. They are the same source.... either direct or indirect water supply. I'm not sure about HDB flats but there are places where the water is non-portable and meant for commercial use like... flushing the toilet, cooling the air conditioner, watering the garden, hosing down a house on fire etc. So... don't anyhow drink water from an unusual looking tap especially in industrial estates and even shopping malls. ![]() |

Sorry for the delay, i was away for awhile. HB I have made the changes you've suggested and have resend it to your email. And since you've already got the volume calculator up I have not included in the excel spreadsheet. Anyway before I left for my trip I was stuck on how to do it anyway

Kekeke. Actually i was wondering if I should include the billing cal online too. But... lazy lah.
![]() Thanks for the spreadsheet. I'm glad to find out my frequent water change doesn't put a big dent in my wallet.... but the airconditioning in my room does. ![]() |

Maybe after the new year when I have some time, I'll do the frame work and the javascript for that PUB bill calculator in a web page and you can beef up the alignment and colour to RG scheme and put it up. We'll split up the effort if you're game

Please do it and I'll be more than happy to incorporate it into RG. ![]() While you're at it, maybe you can make provision to change the "Rate" for electricity and water... in case PUB adjusted them, or foreign users might find our local rates meaningless. ![]() |
